This Privacy Policy explains how Angie Elder, operating as Angie Curly Hair ("we," "us," "our"), located at Chatters, Unit 334, 5015 111 St NW, Southgate Centre, Edmonton, AB T6N 1N5, collects, uses, and protects personal information through www.angieelder.com (the "Site") and in the course of providing salon and coaching services. Booking and service information — appointment history, service preferences, and consultation notes, collected through Square or in person.
Payment information — processed directly by Square/Phorest at the time of service; we do not store your full payment card details.
Photos — before/after photos of your hair, collected and published only with your signed written consent (see Section 5).
Website usage data — standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, pages visited), collected automatically through our website host, Wix, and any analytics tools in use.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

Book, confirm, and manage appointments
Communicate with you about your services and consultations
Send marketing emails and promotions through Kit, only if you've opted in
Improve our services and website
Meet our legal and tax obligations

3. Consent

We collect and use personal information based on your consent — express (e.g., opting into our email list, signing a photo release) or implied by the nature of our relationship (e.g., giving us your phone number to book an appointment). 4. Email Marketing (CASL)

We only send marketing emails through Kit to subscribers who have given express consent. Every message includes our sender identification, contact information, and a working unsubscribe link, as required under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may unsubscribe at any time.

5. Client Photos

We may photograph your hair before and after a service for portfolio, marketing, or social media purposes. We only publish identifiable photos after you've signed a written consent form. You can withdraw consent and request removal of a published photo at any time by contacting angie@angieelder.com.

Square/Phorest — appointment booking and payment.
Kit — email marketing
JotForm/Hunty Forms — client intake and consultation forms
